Our environmental policy: Trading in the spirit of the environment!
We are committed to environmental protection.
We recognize that our business activity as a mail-order trading company causes environmental impacts. At the same time, we occupy a central role between suppliers and customers, which opens up possibilities for us to exert an ecological influence on the market.
We have therefore set ourselves the goal of sustained action: this means acting in a forward-looking, comprehensive, continuous, deliberate and future-orientated way in the spirit of our environment, i.e. with nature, our fellow human beings and long-term, acceptable economic development in mind. We regard an active commitment to the environment as a market opportunity.
A commitment to environmental protection is a corporate decision for us. We agree to accept the responsibility for the environmental impacts caused by our business activity. We will exert influence directed towards the goal of ecological optimization.

We are systematically preparing goals and measures in the following areas that are beyond mere compliance with the law:
Products and services:
We consider ecological requirements in our products and services. In addition, we will continuously develop our ecologically optimized range in line with customer requirements and expand it by adding ecological services.
Processes:
We strive to achieve continuous ecological improvement of the typical mail- order trade processes within the scope of economic possibilities. This mainly covers the areas of procurement, transport, packaging, advertising aids and sales.
Locations and resources:
We ensure the sparing provision of resources, correct disposal and environment-friendly use of equipment and systems at our locations.
Employees:
We make our employees aware of environmental protection through information and training measures and the provision of aids such as environmentally compatible office materials. In this way, we promote environment-friendly behaviour in the workplace.
Partners:
We inform our customers, the public, the authorities and our market partners about our ecological product range and our environmental activities. We work jointly with our partners towards strengthening an ecological manner of pursuing business.
How we achieve our goals.
We have set up the Quelle Environmental Management for co-ordination of our environmental activities. Our Environmental Management ensures that our environmental policy is the foundation for the environmental programme and for establishing an efficient environmental organization in the company. We define who acts at what time and in what way to achieve our environmental goals.
Our environmental policy and Environmental Management can be developed further through environmental audits and through internal or external influences.
The employees are included in environmental activities by the Environmental Management. Their behaviour is intended to exercise a model function and to generate external impulses.
We act within a certain general framework.
We know that as a trading company we will always be positioned in the area of tension between legislative, economic, social and ecological requirements and that conflicts can result. Here we search for possible solutions in consensus with all the entitled groups in order to achieve our guiding principle of sustained action.
