Fox-Fachmarktkette plans on expansion throughout Europe
On January 1, 2005, the KarstadtQuelle mail order corporation and the Fox-Fachmarktkette (clearance sale company) will join together to be based in Fürth.“The Fox chain plans on expanding inland as well as internationally. In Germany, we want to establish ourselves as one of the leading specialty market chains offering high quality products in a low price-range.“ Arwed Fischer, Chairman of the Board of Quelle AG and Neckermann Versand AG, explains the goals of this new relationship. The focal point of the company’s further internationalization is Middle-Eastern Europe. The opening of the first Fox-Markt based in Poland is planned for this year. In Germany, the distribution network is supposed to be revalued by local improvements.
