Quelle starts nationwide mail order business in Russia
First Russian language catalogue with prices in roubles
Berlin/Fürth/Moskau. Within the framework of its internationalisation strategy Quelle AG (Fürth) has commenced nationwide catalogue selling in the Russian Federation. The first Quelle catalogue in the language of the country and pricing in roubles has only about 100 different articles and is distributed by the Russian postal services since Thursday (15 April 2004). More than 300,000 copies of the 36 page catalogue are dispatched to households in the Far East, in Siberia, to selected locations in the Ural, to the Volga, in the Central, North-Western and Southern region of Russia. Quelle is the first European mail order company starting in Russia with a nationwide market presence. The mail order company based in the German city of Fürth has been maintaining offices for accepting mail orders already since 1984 in Moscow, since 1995 in St. Petersburg, since 1998 in Archangelsk and since 2001 in Yekaterinburg.
